Had I still lived in NYC, I would've been occupying Wall St. too. According to their website, they plan on occupying for quite some time. I have included a photo blog with people telling their stories with photos. We need change now and I am sorry to say, that the Republications got things all wrong. They should see that all of us are DONE, we are tired of the BS. They have fought the President in 2010, I believe, when the Bush Tax was up. AND, the President stupidly extended the crap (that's my knowledge of how it went down anyway). I really feel like the egos of these people (both parties) has gotten in their way. I do remember a couple of years ago, when the Republicans were preaching about the rather bad implications of the rich paying more taxes and they were saying that the people would suffer. They also said that they are doing what they were bought into office to do. I remember thinking, I know quite a few Republicans that don't give a samhill about the rich and their money because they know they are not going to be making that anytime soon.
I have seen these political parties divide the people further than it should be. They don't seem to be giving us, the 99%, the benefit of the doubt. I can also really curse out the people who didn't want the healthcare plan. I figured, they didn't want it because it didn't impact them; enough. But, two years later, I can bet a dollar that everyone wish they had that healthcare now. You can look through those photos I mentioned earlier and see people really don't have insurance and can't afford to pay the doctor on their own.
At the end of the day, we all need shelter and food to eat. We all breathe the same air. We need the rich to pay their fair share in taxes. Too many good and needed programs are being cut by many municipalities throughout this nation. The programs were not created out of greed, it was created out of need. Forget who you are affiliated with and make your voice heard only if you are speaking out against this foolishness.
