Getting Ready for 2011

Are you ready? I am so excited about 2011's arrival because I just have this feeling that it is MY year. Now is the time for you to look back at 2010 and decide what did not work for you and plan on doing things a little differently. If 2010 hasn't taught you anything, you must have been sleeping. Plan not to sleep in 2011. Life is to precious to sleep through.

Cherish Your Time

I found out today that a co-worker lost her husband unexpectedly a few days ago. He died the way most of us want to; in his sleep. As usual, when I hear of the passing of someone, I automatically ask God to hold off on any such plans he may have for me. I am not ready to go and neither am I ready for the taking of a loved one. I know, thy will be done, but at least God knows how I feel. I also started to reflect deeper about my commitment to my husband. I know I love him and so, I have decided that I will work a lil harder at making our union more fruitful. I, unfortunately, am a very stubborn person; and that gets in the way of our marital growth. Trust me, hearing of this death was not a wake-up call, it was more of a affirmation. I have, for a couple of days, been thinking about my marriage and how I want it to improve. I have some ideas as to what I need to stop doing and that will be my starting point. While many start their New Year's resolutions on January 1st, I have started mine on my last birthday which was December 18th.

Mission Accomplished

It seems like ages since I have last sat in front of my computer to write a blog post. The latter part of my semester was dedicated to minimizing my computer time so that I can focus more on the 3 classes that I decided to keep this semester. Now that the semester is over, I feel like a fish out of water, because I am disconnected from, what appeared to be, a life cord.

Well, I am looking for that cord so that I can reconnect it. It may be temporary, but ...... (that was a random thought). I have a few weeks off and sometime in January, I will back at it. I am taking 5 classes so I can finish. It wasn't supposed to be like that, but since I didn't pass a class from last summer and dropped a class this semester, I am forced to take 5 classes if I want to graduate this coming May. Wish me well please.

So, my mission was accomplished. I successfully completed a semester that had many personal challenges. I am hoping to reduce those distractions, because they can be very fatal. So...
